All my life I've been seeking peace
Over the years, I've tried many ways to find peace. Before I became a born-again believer, I pursued peace through people, places, habits and pursuits that were not good for me.
I have a feeling I'm not alone in this. Am I right?
Peace with Others, Not a Calling, but a Command
It took me a long time to come to grips that peace begins with me. It's knowing and trusting - in faith, always - that I am a child of God. And if I love Jesus, I will follow His commandments. (John 14:15).
As believers in Jesus Christ, we are called to live out His gospel and His teachings. That really was the genesis of my John 14:27 peace angel Christian hoodies.

As I drew this design, I imagined the angels stopping and greeting each other in love, peace and forgiveness. You’ll note that one angel is larger than the other. Someone always has to be the “bigger” person and take the first step, as per Colossians 3:13, right? As Christians, we are commanded by God to love and forgive one another. It is often up to us to take that first step, and while it’s difficult, we can do it, by the grace of Jesus Christ.
Put On Peace - Go Outside with Grace
Whenever I slip on one of my peace angel Christian hoodies, I feel a purposeful sense of calm. Which is very important to me. I'm not quite an agoraphobic, but let's just say I'm a homebody. Going outside has become an anxiety-ridden feat. Maybe that's why I haven't been outside my apartment much this summer. It's been too hot to wear my peace angel hoodie - lol.
But fall is here (yay!), and peace starts with me. It starts with you. It's a combined effort. It's a mutual agreement (even if you don't agree with or like another person), and because Jesus is God - it's God's commandment.
