Should We Pray For Success?

As I sat down at my desk today, ready to get to work on my Jen2TheWord store, I paused to thank God for the opportunities he's given me to use my creative talents to further the spread of His Word and His Gospel. Although I recently launched my store, I know not to expect immediate success. Of course, I can hope. But that is not realistic.

Still it got me thinking.

Is it OK to pray for success? I mean, should we pray for success? Real question!

I think we can pray for success, as long as we realize that anything succeed at is ultimately due to God's grace, at his authority and in his timing - not ours! So hard to remember, but so necessary to avoid disappointment and frustrations when we fail, or things just don't work out like we expected.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13

He gives me the strength to juggle work on my website, along with the other responsibilities I have in my life. But more importantly, He's the one who gives me the ideas and designs for my peace angel Christian clothing and be not afraid Christian tees, and a bunch of other designs I haven't even launched yet. I'm eager to start my email newsletter, build my Facebook, YouTube and Instagram platforms. Soooo many ways to share God's word, and so little time.

Note to self: Slo your roll, Jen, you'll get there!

Ultimately, it's up to the Lord if he wants people to purchase anything in my store.

His purpose. His timing. Quite frankly, it relieves a lot of the pressure, stress and desire to succeed - right now! - when I remember all of this.

So I try not to get discouraged. I just keep working at sharing His Word. The more I share His Word, the more I fall in love with Jesus, who is GOD.

And hopefully, so will you. 😊
